A Note from me.....
Greetings!
It has been a very long time between updates due to some family health issues - but we're back and looking at
a busy 2026.
I’ve had a productive few months and I’m finishing off works for the upcoming exhibition –
The Wellington Art Show.
The Wellington Art Show will be held in the Takina Event Centre, opposite Te Papa in Cable Street, Wellington.
The exhibition will feature artists from around New Zealand, and opens on Friday 27th February. Show days are
Saturday 28th April
and Sunday1st March. It is only on for one weekend so get in quick.
I’ll be participating in the Paekakariki Art Show coming up in April at St Peter’s Village Hall. This annual event features
over 70 local and national artists. The show opens on Thursday night 23rd April and show days are 24th-27th.
This year sees me with a lighter exhibition schedule allowing for more time to experiment with new clay and glazes – watch this space!

Vibrant New Zealand themed artwork
From her studio on the Kapiti Coast, Vinny Thompson designs and
makes a range of pottery tiles, platters and bowls. Her work illustrates a
number of contemporary New Zealand themes including
character villas and
cottages, landmark buildings, and native New Zealand birds. The surface of each piece has been carved giving it a texture that is interesting to touch.
Each piece is hand-glazed in vibrant colours.
Vinny also sculpts Tuatara from earthenware or stoneware clays, and these are suitable as outdoor artworks for display on the deck or in the garden.
Each individual piece is hand-crafted making each work a
memorable and unique piece of New Zealand artwork.
